The Thunder Bay Literacy Group, formed in 1983, is a non-profit community-based organization which is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Initially, volunteer tutors were recruited to work one-to-one with adults who wanted to improve or develop basic literacy skills. After twelve years, our services expanded to include small group literacy and numeracy classes. In the fall of 2004, we opened the Adult Learning Centre and now offer full-time as well as part-time classes and have added basic computer courses to our program options.
OUR BOARDOur Board Members provide the vision for the Thunder Bay Literacy Group. They meet once a month to set goals and determine how we can best serve our community.
We are always looking for new board members
