WE ARE A COMMUNITY BASED ADULT LEARNING ORGANIZATION

Literacy skills are needed every day—at work, at home, at school, and in the community. However, 47% of Ontarians do not have the literacy skills they need for home, work and life. Through the support of our sponsors, volunteers and community partners, we help adults in Thunder Bay who wish to improve their basic reading, writing, math and computer skills in a self-directed manner. In addition, the Thunder Bay Literacy Group works to raise awareness about adult literacy issues.

The Thunder Bay Literacy Group is a FREE and confidential adult learning centre. We help adults get the skills they need to meet their goals. Instruction is geared to fit the goals of each learner. Learners get one-to-one instruction as they work independently, in a classroom setting.
